Ground Transportation at O'Hare

There are a number of ways to get to and from O'Hare International Airport. Located just 17 miles northwest of downtown Chicago, O'Hare International Airport is accessible via local mass transit lines, regional trains and buses, downtown and suburban shuttles and interstate highways. CTA / METRA / PACE Information

Use public transportation such as the CTA Blue Line as a fast and convenient way to travel to and from the airport, avoiding traffic.

Metra and other regional train and bus information may be obtained by visiting the Chicago Area Regional Transportation Authority website.

PACE also provides regional bus service to O'Hare.

Regional Bus Information

The Bus/Shuttle Center is located on the ground level (Level 1 near elevator center 3) of O'Hare International Airport's elevated parking garage. This center is the central pick-up facility for regional and hotel courtesy buses, airport rental car agencies and parking shuttles. It is easily accessible by pedestrian tunnels from Terminals 1, 2, and 3. Some regional buses also pick-up at Terminal 5. Click here for more information about regional bus services.

Taxi Cabs and Limousines - Taxicabs are available on the lower level curbfront of all terminals.

Rental Car Agencies are located on the lower level near the baggage claim areas of Terminals 1, 2, and 3.
