Volunteer Airport Ambassadors at O'Hare International Airport and Midway International Airport assist passengers year round as part of Mayor Daley's "Chicago We're Glad You're Here" program. Spread holiday cheer during the busiest of travel seasons. Assist with special events and holiday entertainment. The friendly smiles of our volunteers are appreciated by millions of visitors to Chicago who pass through our airports each year.

Volunteer Ambassador Rewards Program

As part of Mayor Daley’s Chicago We're Glad You're Here Program, millions of visitors each year are greeted by enthusiastic Airport Ambassadors at Welcome Center Booths throughout O’Hare International and Midway Airports. The Welcome Booths, created in cooperation with the Chicago Convention and Tourism Bureau provide convention delegates and travelers from around the world with information on Chicago’s many cultural and entertainment venues.

As a "Thank you" to the Volunteer Airport Ambassadors for their dedicated efforts and continued public service, the Chicago Airport System is officially introducing the Volunteer Airport Ambassador Rewards Program. This exciting program is the Chicago Airport System’s way of showing gratitude toward the Volunteer Airport Ambassadors for their many hours spent assisting passengers. It is also a great incentive to continue volunteering with the Chicago Airport System! "Rewards" will be given on a monthly basis by drawing names, from among Airport Ambassadors who volunteered during the previous month.

Cultural institutions, entertainment venues and restaurant groups throughout Chicago have generously donated rewards to the Chicago Airport System’s Volunteer Airport Ambassador program. This is an opportunity to showcase your business and thank the volunteers who give valuable hours of time each month. Gift certificates, complimentary passes, and 2 for 1 discounts are just a few examples of rewards given.
